What Is The Gallbladder ?
The gallbladder is a small organ shaped like a pear that helps in digestion and serves as a storage of bile. When fatty foods move into the digestive tract, the gal bladder releases bile which helps in the emulsification of fat and acids in the digested food. Bile is produced in the liver but is stored in the gallbladder to increase its concentration.
